Owner | DVM
Dr. Bryan Hayter is the owner and lead veterinarian at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic. He brings a unique combination of scientific expertise, creative insight, and genuine compassion to every patient he treats.
Originally from Tustin, California, Dr. Hayter earned a Master of Fine Arts degree and published poetry in several national publications before following his lifelong love of animals into veterinary medicine. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University, where he developed strong interests in internal medicine, dentistry, and exotic-animal care.
Dr. Hayter completed an internship at the San Diego Zoo, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of species, including a panda, cheetah, cougar, and polar bear. He later completed training in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and offers this integrative treatment when appropriate for a patient’s condition.
Today, Dr. Hayter provides veterinary care for many rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, reptiles, tortoises, backyard chickens, and selected companion birds at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic.
Dr. Hayter and his wife, Catherine, are the proud parents of three children. At home, they share their lives with a Cockapoo named Skywalker and five Silkie chickens.

Practice Manager
Heather graduated from California State University Long Beach, and has worked in the pet-care field throughout her adult life. Her home has long been known by neighbors as a “petting zoo” because of the many exotic pets she has cared for over the years.
Heather currently shares her home with a leopard gecko, two bearded dragons, two lop-eared bunnies and three cats. Her warm personality, extensive animal experience, and organizational skills help keep the clinic running smoothly while making every client feel welcome.
Lead Technician
Kaylee graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy. Although she pursued law her entire academic career, she made the career switch to pursue Veterinary medicine and become a veterinarian. She has always loved animals and the passion stems from her dog, a Pomeranian named North. Her kind and polite attitude helps our patients and their pawrents feel at home here at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic.
Veterinary Technician
Brenden started in veterinary medicine as a kennel technician and then decided he wanted to make veterinary medicine his life. Brenden in currently in school to become a registered veterinary technician and would like to continue-on into veterinary school. His furry-companions include Gali, Sunny and Toasty, his three cats.
Veterinary Technician
Isabella is currently studying Veterinary medicine at OCVAS, with a genuine passion for animals and a strong desire to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Her goal is to continue growing her skills while making a positive difference in the lives of both pets and their families. Outside the clinic she loves being outdoors, exploring new places, and spending time with her dog Zelda and cat Milo.
Veterinary Assistant
Audrey brightens up Aliso Beach Animal Clinic’s days with her smile and love for animals. She has always had her mind set on veterinary medicine and has done multiple internships to chase her dreams of becoming a vet one day.
Office Cat
Gypsy is a professional greeter and lover of pets. If you see her in our office, don’t be afraid to give her some appreciation!
