“I am happy to share my positive experience with Aliso Beach Animal Clinic. Dr. Hayter’s expertise and genuine care for animals truly shines through every time we see him! He and his staff could not have been more caring and gentle with our beloved lab Rocco! When he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer at 10 1/2 years old, Dr. Hayter and his staff helped us get through a terrible time. They turned a devastating situation into a peaceful experience. We can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr. Hayter is. I highly recommend him to any pet owner seeking compassionate and skilled veterinary care for your precious fur babies! Six months later we are happy to say we are back at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic to care for our sweet puppy Tucker!”

“Dr Hayter is aggressive conservatively. He is not quick to over-drug rather holistically as much as possible.”

Client experiences often reflect the principles that guide our practice: compassionate communication, careful diagnostic work, continuity with our veterinary team, and treatment plans designed for the individual animal rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Aliso Beach Animal Clinic is an independently owned veterinary practice serving Laguna Beach and surrounding coastal Orange County communities. Our hospital provides routine preventive medicine as well as more advanced diagnostic, surgical, urgent, and integrative care when appropriate.
When a dog or cat is suddenly ill or injured, our same-day urgent veterinary service allows many stable patients to be evaluated during regular business hours when availability permits.
Our hospital can evaluate problems such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, wounds, limping, urinary problems, breathing concerns, allergic reactions, and other urgent symptoms. Patients requiring 24-hour ICU-level care or services beyond what can safely be provided in our daytime hospital may be referred to an appropriate emergency or specialty facility.
Our Laguna Beach animal hospital offers in-house veterinary diagnostics and bloodwork, digital imaging, treatment and monitoring for selected sick patients, and access to additional diagnostic support when medically appropriate.
These capabilities allow our veterinarians to investigate many illnesses efficiently and make treatment recommendations based on the individual patient’s examination, medical history, and diagnostic findings.
Aliso Beach Animal Clinic provides veterinary surgery for selected soft-tissue, urgent, and other surgical conditions. Every surgical patient receives an individualized anesthetic, pain-management, monitoring, and recovery plan.
For appropriate patients, conventional veterinary medicine may be combined with holistic and integrative treatment options. These may include veterinary acupuncture, therapeutic laser treatment, nutrition support, pain-management strategies, and carefully selected supplements.
Integrative medicine at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic is intended to complement appropriate diagnostic and medical care — not replace treatment that a sick or injured pet genuinely needs.
Our team also provides veterinary care for many exotic and nontraditional companion animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, reptiles, tortoises, backyard chickens, selected companion birds, and other species within our clinical scope.
Our hospital is located at 30816 Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, directly across from Montage Laguna Beach.
We regularly care for pets from Laguna Beach, South Laguna, Emerald Bay, Three Arch Bay, Monarch Beach, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Newport Coast, Aliso Viejo, and surrounding South Orange County communities.
Many families stay with the same veterinary team through routine wellness visits, unexpected illnesses, urgent injuries, senior-pet care, chronic disease management, and difficult end-of-life decisions. That continuity is one of the things we value most about being an independent local veterinary practice.
